Come and join us for our Shakespeare Audition Workshop! We highly recommend signing up for this workshop if your student plans to participate in Shakespeare in the Park. Through this workshop, your student will learn how to prepare a monologue for any Shakespeare audition. We will be discussing topics such as selecting great material for auditions, how to break down the piece, how to discover your intentions, how to decipher Shakespearean language, and how to take direction. Your student will receive one on one instruction, as well as having the opportunity to watch other students and their work.
Before the workshop, all students must have a monologue selected that we will provide that is memorized and ready to perform, as they would in a real audition.
Two sessions will be offered, a morning one from 9-11, and an afternoon one from 12-2. There will be a maximum of 10 students per class. When signing up, you will have the option to note if there is only one session you can attend, or if you can be enrolled in either session. Once signed up, you will be placed in a google classroom, where we will tell you what session you will be in, as well as giving you all the monologue options you can choose to prepare for this workshop.
