Come and join us for our Musical Theater Workshop! Through this workshop, your student will learn how to prepare a song for any musical audition. We will be discussing topics such as vocal health and technique, how to select great audition material, how to act the song, and how to take direction. Your student will receive one on one instruction, as well as having the opportunity to watch other students and their work.
Before the workshop, all students must select 16 bars, or roughly 30 seconds, of an audition cut of a song that is memorized and ready to perform, as they would for a real audition. Students will have to provide their own accompaniment, we suggest having a karaoke track playing out of a bluetooth speaker or a plug in speaker that is connected to a smartphone, or iPod.
There will be a maximum of 10 students per class. When signing up, you will have the option to note if there is only one session you can attend, or if you can be enrolled in either session. Once signed up, you will be placed in a google classroom, where we will tell you what session you will be in, as well as giving you all the monologue options you can choose to prepare for this workshop.
